I would like to disable vehicle diognostic via On-Star. I would like to keep all other functions of on-Star except milage and diognostics, I do not want to have a record someware of how often I change my filters and oil.
Please advise with explicid directions (How-To).
Thanks in advance.

Hello,
Your On-Star dosen't report your odometer reading via satellite transmission. On-Star can track your car, give you directions, open your doors if accidentally locked, etc. But the mileage info as well as the oil or oil filter changes are not connected to the On-Star system. And if they ever are in the future, by the law they must inform you and get your agreement. So drive your car with no worries. Nobody's spying on you. I'm sure a "smart" acquaintance of yours told you that but this is fairy tale...for now.
