Okay, I took the cluster apart and found the 93C46 eeprom chip but was not able to use the 8-pin clip to clip the chip from the top because the speedo is blocking it and I'm afraid that I might break the speedo needle if I take this thing apart.
What's the correct way of doing this car? because the manual does not state anything about it. Thanks. |

Hello,
Use a desoldering gun to get rid of solder that's on each pin of the eeprom. Remove it then from the board and program it. It's the safest and best way to work on it.

| i usualy just solder wires under the 8 pin chip its much easer than trying to desolder the chip off |

| Hey what port do I attach to program the camry's 93c46? I have it on port 0 and the eprom clip attached correctly. Can someone e-mail the help guide to me on the camry..also has anyone had any luck programming the usa crysler minivans?? Please e-mail me your thoughts Mseiler27@excite.com.... |
