White Rabbit,
I cant get to Scotland to see it,
Are you suggesting I just buy a Dashfixerpro/2 without seeing a demo of it doing this.

This is the main reason for me to buy this kit, so I can do black cas diagnostic.

Following reports that the clones of the Rosfar do not work properly with the 9S12X micro (with the cas removed) and with the Rosfar you also have to remove the cas to do this micro, I am still dubious about the Dashfixer pro doing it diagnostically or even with cas removed. I personally would not pay for anything until I had seen it work. Possibly Dashfixer could put you in touch with somebody closer than Scotland with a Dashfixer pro so that you can see it working and then make your mind up. Having said all this removing a cas is not the most difficult thing (1 ser and mini are a bit awkward) and I and many others using Rosfar have to date had 100% success. Hopefully you can have more joy in finding out about the Dashfixer pro than I have. White Rabbit.

When porridgeoatsman says diagnostic does he mean FULL OBD or via plug at the end of the CAS?

Just had a thought. If you sent a car with a cas 9S12X micro to Dashfixer with strict instructions to do it diagnostically as they say they can and your agent is able to watch them ok. There is your answer, If your agent is not allowed to watch you will be able to tell after the car returns. Also to be sure it is being done diagnostically you could seal the cas unit to prevent removal ie. Araldite the loom plugs into the unit after pouring Araldite over the micro and surrounding board, finally paying attention to the cas unit bolt. Put the original to one side and replace it with a shear bolt. If you take these or similar measures it would be very difficult for the cas to be done any other way but diagnostically without it showing up at a later date. It may seem drastic but it is maybe the only way you will find out as Dashfixer don't seem to be able to answer this question. White Rabbit.

hi
Is it really that important to do this black box via the obd2?

Or is this an issue about people telling porkies just so newbies will buy there machine?

Cant decide
