Hello, i wonder if you could help me at all. My question is, do mileage eeprom chips on speedos such as the zafira contain ONLY the mileage data and no other information that could prevent the car starting? I have a speedo which is tech2 programmed for my car and working, and one which will not start the car (needs tech2). I want to move the mileage chip from the non-starter to the programmed one - thus moving the mileage value and nothing else.
I have located the eeprom chip on the front side of the speedo(s), serial numbers on the chip is 080d0WQ 97086. Does this "mileage" eeprom store ONLY the mileage and nothing else?
