The point I am trying to make is,"Seek and you will find"
You have not even registered on this forum, only on as a guest, yet repeat your question many times, filling up the forum.
Why not register, ask question, wait for answer?
If you are in hurry, why not buy a book on electronics and learn something before you start trying to do the job?
It is possible to find the answer to your question in 10 minutes by browsing on your pc. |

You're right clusterslaststand I have to register.
I don't do it before because not enought time, but now I do it!
Sorry for sending lot of same posts as a guest, I will never do this.
I read all you posts answering to me.
Just believe me in something, one thing important in all forums that exists is before posting something everybody have to search informations in the forum, in google, in the web.
I know this and I do this.
I send a post just because I don't find the informations I was looking for, and as for now, after read all what you say... it is always not clear for me.
Perhaps I am stupid, but you give all definitions that you find, and I found them before asking... but it is not enought.
These descriptions can't be the applicated for dashboards...
Of course in my manual I have some pictures of opened clusters, and sometimes the quarz is shown, but even this, it is not the same for all dashboards, I hope you understand what I am saying because my english is not very good (I am french).
Sometimes it's shown 2 points of solders and written "this is the quarz" and sometimes something very different.
My first question, maybe I don't explain it clearly, is just how to recognize the quarz on all dashboards.
Perhaps there is something written on it to recognize it, I don't know.
But just in general how to recognize it.
The best thing must be to remove eeproms , but sometimes we don't have to do this, so we have to know how to recognize the quarz to join its contacts.
Thank you all |

Next time avoid spamming the board
If I am an adminitrator of this forum, I will delete all your post
please post in correct topic
Crystal in electronics is a tiny conductor material inside the plastic case or
tin case that vibrate in assign frequency to make an oscilation for the MCU
this is joined for some Dash prior for reading / programming to avoid
an oscillation when you applied 5 volts in MCU pin VCC
The reason is to read the pure codes from external eeprom and eliminates
some unwanted codes and voltage coming from MCU pin when the crystal
start to oscillate so you must short the crystal lead to put the MCU in off state
for some motorola MCU with internal eeprom, you need to change the crystal for desired frequency
to match the programming speed from the target board and programming tools
Programming speed this half of actual frequency of crystal
lets say crystal is 4.0mhz the programming speed is 2.0mhz
I think this will help

Hi
OK this is now more clear for me, thanks.
I apologize several times for all the posts that I've written.
I will not apologize again, I think it is enought.
If administrator clear my message it will be normal and I know it.
If someone else will post here again it is not worth to tell me something like this : "if I was administrator.... or don't spam the board..."
I UNDERSTOOD
thanks everybody[/b] |
