Use SW13 cable or clip
select menu toyota --> Landcruiser --> C66 -- 2002

Thank you hcip very much,
I can't find SW13 Cable in my Tacho universal 2007 Kit. Can you show me the picture of this cable SW13 and where to connect the it to cluster?

I attached the pictures of Hiace cluster

Thank you again

You can use clip if you have no SW 13 cable
SW13 cable is the wire like in your cable in clip

it has pin configuration 1 8 2 7 3 6 4 5
pin 1 is the wire with stripe

Sorry for my mistake
eeprom is 93C56 and not 93C66

select toyota > Land cruiser > S220

Thank you very much.
Your explanation is very clear and easy to do but my cluster doesn't look like the photo you sent. It is different, There is no big IC near the EEprom and I can't find these contacts.

Thank you very much

Yes , it is the same cluster, After I removed the front white cover, it is the same,

But I get 000000 also after soldring the contacts, and also tryed to put the clip directly on the eeprom 93c56.

The two red circle is positive 12V an black circle is negative side if you want to Power up the cluster to check the KM

Use SW13 cable to read the eeprom
This cluster can read by diga without removing the eeprom

make sure that the pin connections are correct

Hi hcip,
Thank you for your patient with me. You are a wonderful person. I hope we can be friends and offer such good and excellent help always.

I think now I know my mistake. When I pulled the wires out of the clip I get number 1, 2, 3, 4 right, but 5, 6, 7, ,8 wrong. I just made them opposite. like this 8 7 6 5

Now I can’t try again because I gave the cluster back to the customer, but now I think I know my mistake.

Is soldering these contacts the only way to do it? Can’t I do it by clip? Because I tried to do it by putting the clip on the 93c56 chip but I get the same result.

It should work with the clip.
Maybe the soldering on the wires of the clip was bad or the legs of the eeprom where not clean.
Use fibreglass pen and pcb cleaner to clean legs next time.

Thank you very much
and I don't have to change the sequence of the wires in the clip? Because I know that Toyota Yaris 2003 I should change the sequence of the wires in the clip.

You can clip the eeprom but you have to remove the wax on it
it is better to solder it on solder pad
if you are in good soldering job, next time that some guys opened its
cluster they will thinking that it still a virgin becaused you have not touched the wax on eeprom

if you need to remove the laquar use nitromoors . it works a treat. a little bit on a ear bud, leave it to soak for a few minutes.
Rub off with a fibre glass pen . easy.

A point about the yaris with rotated pins:
if your 95 board have a port 4, then use that port
it saves time moving all the pins two to the left.
