If you can do a good soldering you can solder it at the back
For me I have an interface for this and I have plug it at the back of board

| Same as on an Shogun 3.2 DID (55) plate but why solder when you can use 8 pin clip on to chip just above the solder points and no need to solder neg or pos points |

Its up to you whatever you have thinking to do
I think you are professional than me
But for me I am not solder nor clip this model
I dont even disassemble it,
I just used my modified plug and plug it at the back in square hole
and with many push in button of diga the job well done
I salute you for you have professional on this job as you thinking
I am only a newbie on this job and I dont know everything about
mileage correction
you can search all my post and you will find that I am a newbie not like you that have more experienced on this job
I think you will help some other member here with your great knowledge

LOL i am also a newbie my background comes from GSM i have only been doing Odometer corrections for about 3 months
i only post what i have from my experiences so as to
