for some dash, yes it is but some new dash used motorolas mcu
it depend on car model but if you will see this device in dash, yes it is the eeprom that stored mileage
also land cruiser/ lexus old used 2 pcs of 93C46 eeprom
the mileage is in IC5 labeled in circuit board
