You will need BMW Scanner 1.2.6
You can do just the cluster, but if you want the dealer not to be able to find out you'll need to do LCM and EWS as well. |

Does he not have the M35080 chip in his IKE? If he does not program the LCM and EWS, will it not throw a manipulation dot? |

To bmw525i:
M35080 equipped IKE cannot be serviced through diagnostic but directly. The manipulation dot appears only if the VIN numbers of the IKE and LCM don't match and not because of a mileage difference.
Also regarding your bimmer it's likely that your dash is a SW13 with 93S66 eeprom if the car is built within year 2000 and if your dash has two push buttons...but you might have a M35080 too. Just pull the dash out and read the SW/HW numbers; post it here and I will tell you what you got inside.
You can also find stand-alone EWS programmers that does not require solderings such as this one: http://www.carcodtool.com/bmw_reseter.html

In relation to the BMW Reseter, it states it resets the EWS to 000316 KM.
Technically this puts me back in square 1. Yes it's very low mileage, but it's still incorrect regardless.
How do I change it to the KM readings that have been written to the IKE and LCM?
Thanks again. |

Hi,
You only need to program speedo at new value , ews and lcm can be done zero km . Once you put the key in ignition , the last two will copy value from speedo. So all 3 will be the same.
Clear enough?
