Trying to get to program the W211 (E-Class) when you have no experience in mileage calibration is a risky task. You have to start with basic cars and wreck a few instruments before you get there. But to answer you question, yes, the W211 has many memories. The most important one is the ignition lock called EIS (and not the keys! Only cars made by BMW hold the VIN and mileage info in the keys), the main odometer located CGW module, the service distance and time again located in the CGW, the battery control module (this one is not really important). And to properly fix the data contained in the CGW you need the Mercedes original computer called Star Diagnosis. This car can be done a few hours but keeping the car for whole day is pretty normal.
