Jap Import A class (Km) change to UK (Miles) HELP..

Hi all,
I have a japanese import (W168 Chassis) Mercedes A160 2002, with a Magnet Marelli dash, that displays both indicated speed and odometer in KM's.

I need to change this for the MOT.

Merc want £380 plus VAT and coding for a new dash, NO way.....

So I bought a used dash, but, there coded to the car, so how can I get around this.

Is it true you can only recode dash with less than 300 miles?, meaning I cant recode my used dash?

Any ideas.

Im waiting on Mercedes carsoft 7.4 kit coming will this help me?

has anyone used carsoft on mercedes dashs?

Or do I need tachopro?

The dash needs to have less than 900 km or approximately 500 miles to be coded. If it has higher value it cannot be coded. So you need to roll the numbers down and I recommend you use the Star Diagnosis for it. Find an independant MB shop for this job; I'm sure they will charge you less.
