2001 fiesta corrected miles and lost display?

strange one


done as per the manual, mind you the diga said to bridge pins 1+2 on the processor but i ignored that and followed the instructiions

cut the wire as stated, connected the two lives and earth to the cluster plug, soldered the 3 wires to the right places on the board

diga read miles and i entered the new value



placed clocks back into the car and nothing.... no display whatsoever



ok so the chap is a mate and he was ok so im seeking a replacement set of dials, but naturally i will have to correct the miles again



any pointers on what might of gone wrong?

especially on why the diga itself and the manual says two diff things, ie the diga says to conect pins 1+2 ont he processor and the manual doesnt?
