How is the mileage on the W220 speedos saved? Specifically Im talking about a 2004 S55 or S600. Is the mileage only o the speedo cluster itself? Because I swapped in a new one and that one has a mileage of zero and seems to work from 0 and up. Is this a viable option or does one still need to program the ECU/PCM to match the speedo in all ways?
Is there a way to just shut off the mileage from counting if that is not possible?

The mileage on the W220 (2004) is the instrument cluster and in the EIS (ignition switch where the key is inserted to start the engine). Basically there's nothing in the engine computer (M.E: motor electronic).
