Hi everyone,

I've read all the posts ont this forum, and the think appears more clear to me.

In BMW E46 from 09/2001 mileage is stored in:
- LCM ( Light Module - the light button to switch on and off lights in fact).
You must modify this milage.

- EWS ( i dont know where it is ? maybe inside the dashboard)
you must modify the milage.

- The Keys (In the two electonic keys)
There is no obligation to reprogram the keys.
Once the Milage is modified, you'll just have to drive the car for more than 40 km/h and the new value will be upgraded in the key.

My questions are:

1- What hardware must i buy to be able to do this ? (internet link please)
2- Is software included, or what software do i have to buy to do that ? (internet link please)
3- Does this same software allows to clear error codes, reset service, and activate onboard Options, or Key memory options ?
4- Can we do all these operations just connecting the OBDII or do we have to unsold (unclip) some eeprom ?
5- Is there any TUTORIAL available ?
6- is there someone in france that can do it ? (location Lyon)

Than you in advance.

Hello m3cab,

on the BMW E46 after 07/2000 the mileage is stored in the cluster, EWS, keys and LCM modules. All modules have to be program.

The EWS (electronic immobiliser ) isnīt inside the dashboard, the unit module is situated underneath the steering wheel section.

1/2- You need a odometer correction programmer like the Diga Consult. The software is included and www.diga-soft.de. But that doesnīt count for only one model, the DIGA-Consult is a professional tool for service work!
3- Yes, with the Diga Consult you can clear error codes, reset service, and activate onboard Options, or Key memory options.
4- Only the programming on the LCM is through diagnostic, the cluster and the EWS manually.
5- Yes, there is a TUTORIAL available
6- I donīt know anyone in France who can adjust your odometer.

Regards,
Nick

Hi Everyone,

I've also went through all the thread in the forum. but still a little bit confused.

I have a 03/2000 BMW E46. so it's not a M35080?
Hence with PA-Soft or DIGA i can update LCM / EWS / Cluster all through diagnostic?

appreciate everyone's help.
Will

No,
You have to do the M35080 and EWS with programmer.
LCM you can do with Pasoft.
