dear sir, im using diga-consult ver 2006.
everytime i input my 6th pin before i press "ok" button.
why the display show "update handheld" and after a sec it show
" ... ??? SYNC ??? ... " then it stuck and the car list doesnt show anymore.
i already contact diga-soft,
it say that i must update the diga n connect it to pc using digasuite.
but when im using a digasuite, it automaticaly update but when it come to 100% my virus scan told me that it was a trojan bla bla.
then diga-soft tell me that i dont need to update because the virus can destroy my diga. so i need to send my unit to there.
is there any other solve that i can handle myself than have to send my unit to diga-soft?

hello
There is a software called TachoRemoteUpdate.exe, you should have it or ask andy to send it to you of course if you are digasoft customer. This software allows you to update without problems your handheld.
how to update handheld:
a computer turned on with internet access
a null modem female db9 to female db9 cable connected to your compter and hendheld too
your handheld must be on and set to sync mode
run TachoRemoteUpdate.exe
and it will update your unit automaticly and the damn message
will do away..........

Did you fix your problem?
I have about same problem,but
first time i hear this soft what venezuela discribe!
Maybe someone can send to me this soft,than i can try it.

can i use software "diga suite 7.2" to update my handheld ?
or i must only use the "tachoremoteupdate.exe"?

hi dear sr, i was reading your `problem and i have the same trouble with my diga consul, can you help me to fix it? thank you.
when i bought my diga consult i dont received the pc cable comunication, my diga consult connect to pc by a db9(serial) and the rj45. please help me |

i contacted andy, and he sent me the "tachoremoteupdate.exe"..

i dont received the pc cable comunication too,
but i bought "null modem cable" at the computer shop.
and you should ask andy (digasoft) to send the software to you of course if you are digasoft customer :p |

| have found tachoremoteupdate.exe on www.efichip.com - go to Tacho Universal product page, then at the bottom you will see link to Tacho Remote Updater. but as far as i know it will work only with devices bought from efichip... |

Dear sir, I have another problem.
this time my unit show "update handheld" after i input the 6th pin.
and when i try to update it with the "tachoremoteupdate.exe"
which i got from diga-soft.
it always show :
"device id blablabla"
"downloading updates #1"
"update not available"
then it end and my unit is still showing "update handheld"
is there any solve?

Hello friend your problem is the tachoremoteupdater software version, the one that you should use is TachoRemoteUpdater.exe 0.17 otherwise you wont be able to fix your problem completely. Make sure you use a null modem cable with the following pinout: DB9 5-5 2-3 3-2.
How to use TachoRemoteUpdater V017
=============================
1. switch Tacho device off
2. connect Tacho to PC via null-modem cable (pinout: DB9 5-5 2-3 3-2)
3. switch Tacho on & put it to SYNC mode (press OK, input your PIN if set,
then select SYNC from menu). LCD should show ...???SYNC???...
4. run TachoRemoteUpdater & press Update button. in pop-up window select COM port Tacho device is connected to. |
