Hi,
I've replaced a aulty dash in a renault master with one from another model car (from the scrap yard). Are there different programs for different vehicles or is it universal? Is it possible to reprogram it with the correct milage and the correct code for the Master? |

Hello,
yes, it is possible to reprogram it with the correct mileage. The eeprom inside the cluster has to be programed. The mileage correction programs are different for different vehicles.

So does that mean you have to know the existing program on the unit (from what vehicle it originated) to set the milage, or you can completely rewrite the eeprom with the correct program for the vehicle alongside the correct milage? It's not really the milage I'm that concerned about, more the incorrect warning lights and service indicator that get a bit tiresome.
Obviously I'm looking for someone with a DIGA-Consult programmer who can come and replace the code with the one for the right model, then test the milage to the right number... |
